The idea that education is a significant tool in helping to reduce social equity is embedded in everyone’s psyche. It is a vicious cycle of gaining a degree in order to get a job with a decent salary and thus gaining a foothold in the social strata. The social hierarchy is based on an individual’s economic worth and this fact cannot be denied. When a person gains wealth, his standing in the society is updated as well. However, what I believe from what I have seen in my family and social circle is that not all education is worthy of the good status.
